Building Hope One Life at a Time “The Lord said “Whom shall I send.” I said, “Here I am Lord. Send me” We believe it is both a joy and a responsibility for every member of our church to find ways to demonstrate God's love through mission work. No matter our skills, time or age, we know that God has given each of us special gifts to share.

We believe it is vital to our church family that our youngest members need to be fully involved in mission as well. Many of the activities we do as a church are intergenerational such as Habitat for Humanity, gardening, Christmas caroling and cookie baskets for our shut-ins, and the CROP walk. In addition we have opportunities throughout the year targeted to children and youth specifically. Some recent examples are:
Teddy Bear Collection: Teddy bears or other gently used stuffed animals are being collected and put in the church pews until Valentine’s Day when they will be distributed to fire department and ambulance services Creative mission activities in Sunday school classes: Students have prepared food, cards and baskets for those in need in our congregation as well as had a field trip to help stock the Rush-Henrietta Area Food Terminal shelves “Souper” bowl collection: Youth collect cans of food and money on Super bowl Sunday for Rush-Henrietta Area Food Terminal Trick or Treating for UNICEF at Halloween: Boxes are distributed and collected as part of the church offertory. Advent collection: Dimes or Quarters collected each day during Advent to provide needed animals for communities through the Heifer Project |
